Creating a mixed media art cannot only bring out a feeling of excitement but also insecurity. Comparing my creativeness to other mixed media artists is a constant battle that has been happening in my mind whenever I plan to create an art piece. It sounds dramatic, but this is where the state of my brain has become.
Often times, I tend to become unappreciative of my skill or talent as a crafter. You know that feeling when you wish that you can be someone else instead? I guess that is one way of describing my insecurity. It’s a domino effect, especially when things do not turn out the way I want because this self-doubt puts my blinders on, and hinders my creativity. This gesso has a satin finish, and that is why I usually use two coats of this product. If you want an opaque finish, then the gessos below are some of the alternatives.
