6.) LIQUITEX ® Ultra Matte Gel Medium $CA 19.99 (on sale for CA$13.99) from Michaels. From Scrapbook.com. I haven’t used the Finnabair 3D Matte gel myself because I still have my gel mediums. I only use the Liquitex mediums as glue for lightweight embellishments, but I have seen other mixed media artists use Finnabair Gel Mediums and they like it. To learn more about the diffrerent types of gel mediums used for mixed media art Keren Tamir’s YouTube channel is the one that I got to. Keren has lots of advices and videos for beginner mixed media.

9.) Ranger Ink – Tim Holtz – Distress Oxides Ink Pads – Vintage Photo CA$8.99 from Michaels and from Scrapbook.com. An investment and goes a very long way! It is perfect for creating borders on paper or any canvas really.
10.) LASER-CUT LEAVES ICONS BY RECOLLECTIONS™ CA$4.99 From Michaels and a similar ones from Bo Bunny at Scrapbook.com. Laser cut chipboards are one of a few favorites of mine. The greater the swirls, the better lol!
11. 6″ SCRIPT CHIPBOARD LETTER BY RECOLLECTIONS™ CA$3.29 from Michaels. Now I just realized that the one that I bought was a letter T! LOL. Oh well it looked like a J to me haha!

The total amount of time spent in finishing this project was 12-13 hours over the course of 3 days. I do not force myself into making an artwork just for the sake of making them. I put every ounce of my creative brain cells into it.
During the 2nd day of my crafting, I was trying to make my composition for at least 1.5 hours. I got very frustrated because nothing made sense and so I went to sleep! The next day, I had a theme in my mind of what look and vibe that I wanted to go for and therefore the project was done on the third day.
I would have given it one more day for everything to set and basically for the smell of the E6000 glue to go away but, lesson learned!
With a big canvas like this with 6 sides, I have to be honest, I would have spent 4 days in it including curing time. So, the next time that you would see the price tags of the mixed media artworks, that is why my friends!
For my beginner scrapbooking friends out there, here is a great read of a blog entitled An Introductory Guide to Beginning Scrapbooking. Don’t worry I wont be upset if you are more into Scrapbooking. Actually, I might do some in my next future projects to make a keepsake memory of our wedding photos! Exciting!!!!!!!!!
